I thoroughly enjoyed the cooking class. Lucky is an excellent teacher. The food is great and meeting new people is very interesting. Highly recommend this class and don't forget to "tip" Lucky - he deserves it!!

Having booked this cooking class a few weeks in advance and then reading the remarks by Jerome, I was a bit alarmed. Well, I wonder which cookery class he did, certainly not the one I joined yesterday together with 3 others. Unfriendly? On the contrary! Our cook was though young a very knowledgeable and friendly teacher, which was already clear during the delightful tour around the market. Arriving at the cookery school we were all amazed by its beautiful location and the good setup. How proud we all were when we cookec our own fish amok. Which by the way was much better than the one I had at a Siem Reap restaurant a few days before.
I think this cooking school is well organized and a lot of fun. Thumbs up!
Out of curiosity I just looked at the cooking school this Jerome mentions in Bangkok. Well, they charge $45 for just a half day...

Don't loose your money and time in this cooking class.
Very dissapoiting. Dirty aprons, unfriendly welcome. We just haven't got what was written in the flyers.
No welcome drinks, just water. No seasonal fruit tasting and carving (the owner told me it wasn't the season...). No decoration.
While I was complaining about it, the owner just said "all my clients are happy, the tuktuk is waiting for your, good bye..."
The owner, a duch journalist, should write articles instead of improvising himself in this business.
If you have the opportunity, go to the Baipai in Bangkok. You will realize what a real cooking school is.

The cooking class is amazing. Not only for the wonderful food we were cooking, but the view from the terrace overlooking the Mekong is just fantastic. We absolutely enjoyed our full day at the cooking class. By the way, we were really full at the end of the day! :)
