The guestbook was closed for some time, because it was flooded by spam. Now, we hope to have found a solution to prevent this. If you have participated in one of our cookery courses, we kindly ask you to fill out this guestbook form. That way others can get a more independent review of the classes we have on offer. Thank you very much. To prevent spam, we encode all email addresses on our website.
We have also been mentioned in some blogs by travellers who have participated in our cookery classes:
Chris & Victoria: "Our wonderful teacher was a genius in the kitchen!"
Arjen and Merrilee: "First we went to the market to buy our ingredients. It was so great to have a guide through this experience after spending the last 1.5 months wondering what everything was! I was really happy to spend the day at the cooking class. It was great fun to have a better understanding of all the beautiful food we've been eating. This day truly "hit the spot!"
Jeff & Becca: "This class was different from the 10-20 person classes in Thailand: slower pace, longer relishing of our creations, and more intimate conversations. Chanton was our teacher in both Cambodian life and Cambodian food."
Joe Matava: "The highlight for me was making the red curry paste used for both fish dishes by hand using mortar and pestle. Both dishes came out wonderful. They are much more subtly flavored than the red curry dishes I’ve had in Thailand. The homemade curry paste smelled so wonderful – much better than the packaged stuff."
John Mccollum: "Unlike the Russian Market and Central Market, which sell a little bit of everything, this market was all about food. Every kind of vegetable, herb, meat, sauce, condiment one could grow, raise or make in Cambodia was available for purchase from one of the thousands of vendors. After we made some purchases at the market, we drove across a bridge to a large house on the banks of the Mekong. For the next few hours we cooked, we ate, we drank, we laughed."
And we got a very nice e-mail from one of the participants at the cookery class. Susan Smith wrote: "Recently we had guests in Cambodia and we decided to try out the cooking class of frizz restaurant. I can highly recommend it. I enjoyed it (long term resident), my guests enjoyed it (all day course), and my little daughter (age 7) enjoyed it (half day only--Daddy came and got her). If you have 4 people and plan ahead, you can choose the dishes you want to make from their various menus."
